Director of Bands
Flower Mound High School

Brent Biskup has been the Director of Bands at Flower Mound High School since 2014. During his tenure, the bands have received local, national, and international acknowledgements in both marching and concert band. The Flower Mound Band program prides itself in the development of well-rounded student musicians, focusing on chamber music, solo literature, and full ensemble literature throughout the year. The program is a recipient of both the John Philip Sousa Foundation’s distinguished Sudler Flag and Sudler Shield of Honor. The Flower Mound High School Marching Band has been named Grand Champion in numerous regional and national competitions, including multiple BOA Grand National Finals appearances and the Outstanding Music Caption in 2021. The band has also received recognition at the UIL State Marching Contest, including the gold, silver, and bronze medals. The Flower Mound Wind Symphony has performed at the TMEA Convention as an Invited Ensemble, the Midwest Clinic, and numerous other performance opportunities throughout the country.

Brent was named the Flower Mound High School Teacher of the Year in 2016, has been recognized in Who’s Who Among America’s Teachers, and was recognized by the Flower Mound Rotary Club as an Outstanding Community Member. Brent lives in Flower Mound with his wife Amelie and 3 sons, Beau (12), Myles (9), and Quinn (6). Amelie is a practicing chiropractor in Flower Mound. Amelie and Brent spend their free time driving the boys around and attending their practices, games, activities, and concerts.
