Aaron Brown is currently in his eighth year as the Director of Bands at Glenda Dawson High School. Under his direction, the Dawson Marching Band has been a consistent participant in the UIL 6A State Marching Band Contest and a consistent BOA Regional Finalist. The program's four concert bands have consistently earned UIL Sweepstakes Awards.

The Dawson Wind Ensemble received the Foundation for Music Education's Mark of Excellence Award in both 2022 and 2023 and placed fourth in the 2022 TMEA Honor Band Competition. The ensemble went on to perform at the 2024 Midwest Clinic and was featured at the 2025 TMEA Convention as the 6A Honor Band. Most recently, the ensemble received the National Band Association's Blue Ribbon Award and the Sudler Flag of Honor.

Mr. Brown is an active adjudicator and clinician throughout the Houston area. He currently serves as President of TMEA Region 19 and as the Texas Bandmasters Association representative. Mr. Brown and his wife, Anna, reside in Pearland with their children, Cade and Macy.
